Dear friends,
I just wanted to let you all know that there is an upcoming production of "Export Quality: Monlogues (loosely) based on the true stories of Mail Order Brides from the Philippines" coming up. And I'll be performing a monologue if that's any enticement (maybe not). Aside from being really glad to see you there- I think its an important show to go to because of the lack of dialogue and general marginalization of this topic in an already marginalized community (did I say "marginalize" enough..haha). It's also a collaborative effort by many different people who care about this issue.
It's the premiere production of these monologues and I believe if they see that there is a demand for this kind of show- there will be more shows in the future.
I know it's somewhat short notice and it's a busy time of year for us all, but please come and support if you can.
The flyer and website can be found at http://www.gabnet.org/sfbayarea/exportquality.htm
Thank you so much,
Diana
Feel free to invite your friends, family, neighbors, strangers, frenemies, ex-partners, ANYONE.
