Well I suppose I must first explain why I am here. It seems that I have been sucked into blogger b/c some cool folks I know have one. I actually have a personal livejournal, but you only get to know what it is if you ask me nicely because if this blogger is barely esoteric, then my livejournal is definitely extremely esoteric (as in for a few eyes only). And I reserve that right.
So let's begin by explaining the name. "Barely esoteric" is the name of the site. I think I was having a conversation with a few cool folks and I asked someone to describe me- he said I was "esoteric". Having no idea what esoteric mean- he explained that esoteric in relation to me means that only a few people really have the chance to know me. I often don't let people get to know me. This is because of many things, but another person described me as an iceberg. I might shut people out to an extent, but to a larger extent there's just so many things that I am and that I have experienced. I have possibly one of the more complicated lives out of anyone out there. With complicated thoughts.
It is, however, "barely esoteric" which means that I know that publishing this on the web means it kind of isn't esoteric at all. I love irony. Plus, as I mentioned before I have a personal blog already. So what is this for then? You say. Ah well, I'm hoping to write things that will get people thinking and whatnot.
That being said, maybe you will or you won't understand what I write. Or don't agree. I am open to various viewpoints as long as you have a valid point and will not attack. I encourage leaving comments because I would like to start a dialogue instead of what these blogs usually are for- a literary show. The Diana show. Where you are the silent observer. Whats worse than having a show if you know nobody is watching?
